I worked with James and Neil at Studio 42 to design and implement a new business website for a traditional professional services company. They are a pleasure to work with – very patient, calm and able to find realistic and helpful solutions to issues. They respond quickly and made time to answer any questions that I had.
Our last website was difficult to update and they took the time to ensure that I knew how to operate the new one, running through it by phone, Zoom and even making and updating videos to YouTube for me so that I could refer to them repeatedly.
Studio 42 offer very good value for money, and are happy to make suggestions about where my budget would best be spent. They are also very good at offering ideas about how the site could work more effectively and at honing my wishlist of ideas into a format that was effective on computers and mobile devices.
On the few occasions where parts of the site were not quite what I had in mind, they were quick at responding to my concerns and making changes. On a personal note, James and Neil are positive, cheerful and really pleasant. I am very glad to have had the opportunity to work with them and would not hesitate to recommend them to other clients.

User flow
The sitemap outlines the content structure of the website and illustrates the user journey. It highlights any potential features users may interact with and provides guidance for structuring the information architecture of the website.
Competitor analysis
Competitor analysis is a key phase of the discovery process. We use this time to investigate our client's competitors, analyse what they’re doing well and look for any missed opportunities to help give the new website the edge.
We also use this discovery phase to investigate competitor keyword analysis and general search engine result positions, and identify improvements required as part of the development of the new website.

The next stage in the process is to work with the wireframes and turn these into a series of high fidelity designs. These designs will showcase exactly how a number of the key pages of the website will look on mobile and desktop devices.
We listen to client feedback and iterate through to a set of final designs, ready for taking to the development stage. It's always easier to spend the time perfecting things at this stage, rather than taking a step backwards once the development has been completed.

The results
Using analytics tools and Google's Lighthouse report, we are able to quantifiably compare the perfomance, SEO, accessibility and general best practices of the new website vs the old. Any score 90 and above on the Lighthouse report is deemed an excellent result.
